Scripture~
Numbers 29-30, Psalm 77, John 19

Vows . . . I wonder if this means any spoken word or something more. Alone though, this . . . along with other scripture, advises us to watch what we say without thinking. This old testament writing also lends itself to the power of our tongues. Even to the point of the power a man has over his house. That a man is able to speak life over his family; and to pay attention to what your wife says so that if she says something contradictory or negative while she’s stressed . . . etc; that we have the obligation and power to speak peace to her.
What beautiful and powerful imagery the Psalmists use. Speaking to the true power and awesomeness of the Lord God Jehovah!
While it is painful to hear of how my Lord died . . . I know it was to fulfill God’s plan for salvation and time. All things of the old testament worked to this moment. This speaks to things and events in my own life, not that I can compare them to the crucifixion of Christ, but in that at times the execution of God’s will can be a painful process. Not that it always is, but the times we go through the difficult times in life, in the end it all works as part of His divine and perfect will.
