Creatures of the night . . .

Shadows moving slowly,

     closer, closer,

          drawing into one.

Reaching out,

     yearning.

A fire burns within,

ye the skin is not scorched.

A hand reaches out,

     skin, muscle, bone

          connect.

The fire burns stronger,

     bodies wrapped together,

          slowly moving into one.

Lips move over flesh.

Souls pour into each other.

A nocturnal dance,

     creatures of the night yearning,

          wanting,

               needing,

Each other.

this is one i actually like.  the mentioning of souls being shared again makes me think that this was written around the same time as the previous article which would mean that it was written regarding the same person but i'm thinking for some reason this came later, as in after my first wife later.  lots of talk of night, darkness, and nocturnal which would be indicative of that time as well.  the problem with believing in the concept of "the one" is that when reality sets in and you realize you married someone for the wrong reasons (because it was the "right" thing to do) you have to romanticize something that isn't there so reality doesn't slap you in the face so much
