Battles are often won and lost in the mind, long before the first pull of a trigger or drawing of the sword. That’s why we see bad actors from foreign states making things worse by misinformation and division in Social Media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

This past week I had a very hard time in my mind. Externally I was fine, but my mind got away from me. One of the tools I used was the truth of Gods word. When I couldn’t find someone to talk to, because I assumed everyone was too busy, I turned to scripture. One could make the argument that I should have started there, but I am after all only human.

The following day, on my bike ride, I spent the time talking to God and reminding myself of who I am in God’s eyes. I am not obsolete, I am not worthless, I have value to share with those around me. God does not make junk, God made me in His image, therefore I am not junk. And neither are you.

Take hold of every thought, and let the light of truth burn away every falsehood.
