Scripture~
Exodus 2-3, Psalm 26, Mark 5
I thought I’d change up my format a little. Today’s reading, from Mosess’ calling, the psalmists speaking to the Lord’s faithfullness, to Christ healing those who are coming and calling after Him; to me it all speaks to God’s unchanging desire for His children. The way that Moses was brought from death into life with one of the Pharaohs daughters, then sent into the wilderness on his own accord only to be called back to Egypt to take up the monumental task of leading the enslaved people of God out of the hand of the Egyptians. Christ speaking to those about faith, and their belief in God. It’s not works or good deeds that get us the rewards of the Kingdom, for they are freely given; all we have to do is believe in Christ, put our faith in Him and all will be revealed in time.
Yesterday was a rough day for my family. I think more and more as we try to continue to persue God’s word that the attacks will continue. But, I know that Christ in his goodness will watch over us. I know that my foot will be healed, I know the car will work itself out. Christ came so that we may have life, and have it more abundantly. As today’s reading re-affirms, He is faithful, hallelujah HE IS FAITHFUL!
The word faithful seems to be a recurring theme in the SOAP readings so far! It is such a great reminder. Thanks for looking to his faithfulness in the face of all this junk. We’re praying for all the details to work out.
