My last post was in 2020, August of 2020 to be exact. Roughly just over a year to the day. I’m in a position of change in my life. Nothing big, no job change or family member loss. I suppose it’s the change that most of us go through at this time of year. We transition from the relatively free days of Summer with no schedules, other than work, and dive into School, Small Groups, and other events that seem to pop up as we head into the fall.
While the Pandemic has been a challenge for a lot of us, for the most part, it’s been good for me. I’ve made my spiritual and physical health a priority. This of course has lead to improved mental health as well. Now that I find myself in a period of change once more I’m struggling to find routine in the day-to-day without losing my mind in the “day-to-day”. How do we squeeze the most out of each day? I’m no longer focused on making sure I contribute to the National GDP (I’m sorry to say, that used to be a thing). Now it’s making sure that I’m getting my scripture time, my exercise, and working a little on the projects at the house that never seems to get done.
Tonight however I was able to sit down and write a friend and go over a few things that have been on my mind the past few weeks. I also got to take my eldest on one of our Daddy-Daughter-Dates. I listened to music while I wrapped up emails and started diving into some work that I’ve needed to get done for a while now. As I was working, a certain song came on that has been really speaking to me as of late.
