Scripture~
Numbers 7, Psalm 66, John 6
While I hope it’s not counted as sacrilige, I was . . . oh my gosh . . . lots of bulls, shekels, plates, basins . . . geez! But, in the end . . . when Moses goes into the tent of meeting and hears the voice of God speaking from between the Cherebum . . . that makes it all worth it; no mater what the cost to hear God’s voice speaking; pay it, do it, follow it!
I am so moved by the humanity of Christ. I think it’s easy for us to assign Christ as the Son of God and forget His Humanity. Of course, Christ is the Son of God; but while on earth He took upon the flesh and thus took upon our emotions, faced the temptations we would face, ate, drank, all the things we would do. So how would it be if we, had twelve close friends . . . brothers . . . and all the while we knew how each would parish; all the while we knew that one would betray us. Some would want for such a gift, to know the future and how our life will be. In so doing though I think we would learn things that would cause such pain in us that we could not bare it.
Lord I praise You for Your humanity . . . in knowing that the trials that I suffer, You have suffered also, indeed as Your child You suffer with me. Thank you for Your enduring spirit that empowers me and protects my family.
