     There is a great lesson to be learned from Simon, not just in the fact that he tried to “buy” the holy spirit, but in his story as a whole. His story states that he believed, he was baptized, and yet he still made this error. I think this is speaking to how we grow once we become Christians. While when we believe Christ comes to live within us, and as we are baptized we are following Him in obedience; the spirit, our spirit grows as we continue to walk and grow in Christ’s teachings. I don’t think Simon meant any great offense . . . it was his lack of understanding . . . but a Christian brother corrected him and put him back on the right path. May we all have brothers such as these!
